The United States removes Kuwait from the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Watch List
- The removal came thanks to the State of Kuwait's increased law-enforcement efforts against the sale of counterfeit goods and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's establishment of electronic platforms for managing intellectual property rights and trademarks
- The list is prepared according to an annual report issued by the Office of the United States Trade Representative on the effectiveness of the efforts of the United States' trading partners in protecting intellectual property rights and laws
- The removal came after Kuwait had remained on the list for the past 25 years
