The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has closed a vehicle oil factory in the Jahra Industrial Area for filling oils that do not conform to the standard specifications and distributing them to vehicle oil change shops for sale.
The violating factory was caught following a monitoring and verification process during which oil samples were tested in the laboratories of the Public Authority for Industry, and the tests proved that they did not conform to the specifications, which causes damage to vehicles and threatens the safety of consumers. The Ministry of Commerce immediately withdrew the said type of oil from the shops to which it had been distributed, to protect consumers and safeguard their safety, and the legal procedures against the violating factory are being completed.
