Objectives
Supervising the activities of commercial licenses, insurance, joint-stock companies, people companies and the commercial registry, approving the annual plan for these activities, and following up the implementation of their work to ensure their implementation of the approved regulations and systems.
Specialties
Approving the operational policies, plans and programs for the activities of commercial licenses, insurance, joint stock companies, people companies and the commercial registry.
Ensure continuous coordination with some different relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Kuwait Municipality on matters related to the various licenses.
Supervising the work of individual licenses and following up on the necessary amendments to them, such as transferring, renewing and changing the type of work or transferring ownership, whether by sale or assignment.
Supervising the affairs related to the insurance companies' business and the applicable laws in this regard.
Supervising the affairs of joint-stock companies, including procedures for incorporation, amendment of purposes, increase or decrease of capital, and application of the necessary laws in this regard.
Supervising the work of people’s companies, including everything related to securing people’s companies, whether issuing licenses and amendments to them, or what is related to coordination with the relevant authorities.
Approving operational plans, policies and programs for commercial registration activity.
Supervising the work of commercial registration, commercial agencies and individuals, and issuing certificates accordingly.
Reviewing periodic statistics from the departments of the sector, analyzing the inferred indicators, and taking the necessary action in this regard.
Coordination between the departments of the sector to ensure the integrity of their work.
Drawing up policies for the concept of small and medium enterprises and their development at the national level and seeking to address bureaucratic challenges through unification of efforts.
Supervising the preparation of the sector budget, ensuring that it meets the actual needs of the sector's business, and determining implementation priorities according to the available capabilities.
